Shootin' & Scrappin'...a way of life.

I love to shoot pictures. I love to make scrapbooks. Thank God they go so well together! All my life I've been shooting with a camera. I brought the pictures home from the developing lab, showed them to friends then put them in a photo album where they sat so many years they would not even peel up off the page any more, not to mention the yellowing! (OK, I just mentioned it. Sorry.) Now I can take my images from my camera to my computer, then into a page that not only records the visual memory but allows me journal the story behind the shot! Who is the genious who thought this up???

I remember coming home from school when I was little & going straight to my dad's National Geographics. I know what you are thinking, but it was the boys who liked to boobie pictures...focus please...I love reading the stories about the images on every page. Where, who, what, etc... It was my escape. I'm approaching middle age, turning 46 next month. I still love my dad's NG's & steal them when I visit.

My scrapbooking lets me feel like I'm telling the story now. Watch out world! Here comes Mrs. National Geographic! .....I just wish I could get out more. (sigh)

Love the story Beth... I think I still have a few NG's from the 80's . I too loved looking at the photo's and reading the stories being told through those photos.
I guess that is what scrapbooking is all about. I love these layouts, so beautiful with those perfect photos! I really need to get a better camera!
