Did you know I'm a twin???
I know, in todays world multiple births are as common as the hairs on my head, but I'm turning 46 next month. That means we arrived without help...of fertility drugs that is. We had 5 or 6 sets of twins in our senior class at high school, & I dare say none of us were fertility kids. I think fertility drugs are great, bringing joy to so many who otherwise would never know, but it's cool to say I was part of the generations that came before.
Busy busy busy!
I'm just trying to keep my head above water these days, but mixed in all the stress & depression I seem to be feeling waves of joy & amazement at how blessed I am. I hate this house for reasons I won't go into, but it makes me so depressed I hate coming home, but I seem to be recognizing moments in each day when I know there has been some divine intervention. I was always aware of it, but after the girls passed that awareness faded. I found myself filling every waking moment with hobbies & projects to keep from thinking. It hurt to much. Now I am trying to slow down, embrace the wonderful moments I have with my son & husband, and be grateful for all I am blessed with. My quilting has all but stopped, making way for my scrapbooking and photography. My social life has faded while I enjoy quiet moments at home dreaming & scheming to have those moments in another home as soon as we can. My job is a job, but it has its upside so I can't complain.
I shot a wedding last weekend, I'm getting caught up on obligations with my scrapping community, SimplyScrapping, & I'm starting a hard push in the marketing of my photography services by publishing small booklets & other things. It would be SOOOO great if I could afford to stay home, make my living as a photographer, and be the mom I always wanted to be. Is 46 too old to plan a new future?

Happy New Year!
For me, this last decade is happily ending. The start of the new millenium was NOT what I had hoped for my life. Sure, there were some good things. Emily was born & so was D2, but we also lost Emily, and quite frankly, losing Cheyenne in 1999 was more than enough to ruin the new millenium for us already. Things took a slow turn upward though & this last year was not too bad. It gave us hope for a great new decade, and more than anything, I hope for a great & prosperous decade for everyone in the world...really!
God Bless you all.
Love, Beth

Cookies for the Holidays
When my son was born I decided to start a tradition of baking cookies with him each year. Mainly to have something we could share, but also (I guess) to teach him lessons about life...the kind of lessons taught when you get burned cookies, when others have better cookies, etc... I guess I am learning too.

Escape....
Sometimes I look at toys and I see a whole world that I want to escape into. I just want to go away and live in that world and forget everything I carry in my heart. But I know I really don't want to forget everything, just some things.

Eye Candy...
Just something to help us get in the holiday spirit. I took these last year. I have not done anything yet this year. I need to get on it.
